http://www.multifamilybiz.com/WebcastArchive/15/CEO_Series__Multifamily_WiFi_Access_What_is_Your_USP

This webcast includes 60 minutes of a captivating & informative discussion focused on how apartment communities and leading property management companies are using WiFi to increase their competitive advantage and their Unique Selling Proposition (USP). PRIMEDIA Acquires Rent.com From eBay

For the 24 years that I have worked in the multi housing property management sector…the Apartment Guide has been a main-stay for apartment advertising, always a large presence at industry trade shows/events and a significant contributor to the funding of special projects tied to NAA initiatives.

The purchase of Rent.com is certainly a strategic fit…but a split from PRIMEDIA’s historical business model of “pay for advertising space” versus the Rent.com business model of “pay when a rental lease is signed”.

PRIMEDIA Acquires Rent.com From eBay

Your take on the news article above? What do you think about the two pay-for-performance advertising models that PRIMEDIA will now be offering? When you compare your advertising results with ApartmentGuide.com and Rent.com what pros/cons do you see/find? How does your cost-per-lead and cost-per-lease compare…when evaluating the performance of each website?

How do the quality and quanity of leads/prospects that contact your multi housing leasing/rental offices…compare with traditional rental magazines versus the rental website ILSs and/or Craigslist?
